The aim of Kilombo Festival is to promote African and afrodiasporan arts and culture, especially dance and music. The event gathers together both professionals and enthusiasts to share their knowledge and experiences. We believe that working together in community is the best way of promoting the afro culture in Finland - unity makes strength!
The festival invites guest artists and teachers from Brazil, Haiti, Cuba, Guinea and Burkina Faso. Our international guests also participate in the carnival and present themselves at the jam party. Most of them also perform at the Open Stage Club, together with other fabulous bands and dance groups.
